BIBLE DAY
At Dursley Tabernacle
Saturday 2nd November 10am to 4pm
Dr Alison Gray, Tutor in Old Testament Language, Literature & Theology at Westminster College, Cambridge is coming to lead a day looking at some topics from the Old Testament.
Alison has energetic and creative presentations, bringing the scriptures alive for today.
In the morning, she will consider the following topics:
Fear of the Lord’: terror or faithfulness? Exploring a common biblical expression:
Samson – hero or anti-hero: reflections on an ancient Near Eastern terrorist
After lunch a final session will look at the Psalms – an introduction and considering the terminology of God as King, Judge, Warrior etc
Come for the whole day or part of the day. No charge but donations towards the cost would be appreciated.
